Lesson Content

Pre-interview company research.

"[Company name] – I have an interview tomorrow for [role]. Give me: (1) what the company does and their position in their market, (2) any significant recent news I should be aware of, (3) the most likely topics that would come up based on the role and company type, and (4) two or three things that show I have genuinely researched this company."

Supplement this with direct research from the company's website and recent news – Meta AI's training may not include the most current developments.

Mock interview practice.

"Act as an interviewer for a [role] position at a [company type]. Ask me behavioral interview questions one at a time. After I answer, give me feedback on: whether I completed the STAR format, whether my answer was appropriately specific, and what I should improve. Be direct – I want honest feedback, not encouragement."

The "one at a time" and "be direct" instructions are essential for productive practice – without them, Meta AI tends toward lists and encouragement rather than genuine practice.

The "tell me about yourself" preparation.

"Help me develop a strong 2-minute 'tell me about yourself' answer for a [role] interview. My background: [summary]. What to emphasize: what is most relevant to this type of role. What to avoid: being too long or too personal. Tone: professional, confident, and genuine."

Preparing your questions for the interviewer.

"Based on this role description [paste], what are three to five intelligent, specific questions I could ask the interviewer that demonstrate I have thought seriously about the role and the company? Avoid generic questions like 'What is the culture like?' – I want questions that show substantive engagement."
