Meta AI is powered by Llama, Meta's family of open-weight large language models, and is integrated directly into Meta's family of apps. This means Meta AI is accessible to billions of people through the communication and social platforms they already use – without downloading a separate app or creating a new account. Where to find Meta AI. WhatsApp: Meta AI is accessible through a dedicated Meta AI chat, or by using the search bar and typing your question directly. Look for the Meta AI icon within the WhatsApp interface. (Verify current interface details in the WhatsApp app.) Instagram: Meta AI appears in the DM search bar and can be accessed through Instagram's messaging interface. (Verify current location in the Instagram app.) Facebook: Meta AI is accessible through the search bar and as a dedicated chat experience within Facebook. (Verify current access in the Facebook app or website.) Messenger: Meta AI is accessible as a conversation contact within Messenger.
