By the end of this course, students should be able to:

• Define a goal clearly enough that Claude can provide targeted, useful assistance
• Use Claude to organize and synthesize research from multiple inputs
• Build multi-step plans through structured conversation with Claude
• Use Claude to compare approaches and identify tradeoffs
• Apply adversarial prompting to stress-test their own thinking before acting

Course Notes for Instructor Review

This course assumes students have completed the prompting fundamentals course. The goal definition lesson is particularly important – vague goals produce vague help, and many students have never been taught to define goals in operational terms. The adversarial prompting section (comparing approaches, stress-testing) is a power-user technique that significantly elevates how students use the tool. Emphasize that Claude is not replacing their judgment – it is extending their thinking capacity.
