Claude Code Foundations – Agentic Development Workflow

Lesson 4: Verification as the Finish Line

Lesson Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Define evidence for a coding task.
  • Separate source checks from runtime checks.
  • Ask for a concise handoff summary.

Lesson Content

For paid-level Claude Code work, "I changed the file" is not enough. The student needs evidence. Evidence can include tests passed, screenshots reviewed, logs inspected, package root verified, no unrelated files changed, and known gaps reported.

Not every task needs the same proof. A spelling fix may need a quick render check. A payment entitlement change needs unit tests, integration tests, local database verification, and security-path checks.
