Enterprise AI Readiness – Data, Workflow, and Deployment Choices
Lesson 1: Readiness Starts With the Workflow
Lesson Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
- Map the current workflow.
- Identify repeated decisions and handoffs.
- Define one measurable improvement.
Lesson Content
Enterprise AI readiness begins with the work itself. A workflow has people, inputs, decisions, exceptions, tools, records, and outcomes. If those pieces are messy before AI is added, AI can make the mess faster.
Start by drawing the current workflow in plain words:
- Who starts the task?
- What information arrives?
- Who makes the decision?
- What tools or files are touched?
- Where do errors happen?
- What would improve if AI helped?
This map helps students avoid a common mistake: choosing technology before understanding the job.
